The cabinet of Delhi government took some important decisions to promote and develop higher and technical education in the cabinet meeting held in the Chief Minister’s office today. In the cabinet meeting, it was decided that the World Class Skill Center will be built in Delhi soon and Delhi All the 10 government polytechnic institutions of Delhi will be brought inside the Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University. This step will prove to be very important for promoting skill development among the students of Delhi.
Along with this, the Wazirpur and Okhla campuses of Delhi Institute of Tool Engineering, and GV Pant Engineering College will also be linked with Delhi University of Skills and Entrepreneurship. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that the Delhi government is committed to expanding job opportunities for students studying in their schools. He said that these mergers will make the skilling ecosystem more efficient and will increase the employment and skill possibilities of our youth.
Budget kept for this amount
It was decided in the cabinet meeting that the College of Arts will be included as the ‘School of Fine Arts’ and the Delhi Heritage Research and Management Institute as the School of Heritage Research and Management’ in Dr. BR Ambedkar University. Delhi Government is going to start a new World Class Skill Center at Delhi Pharmaceutical Science and Research University, Pushp Vihar.
The Government of Delhi has released Rs. 9.90 crore for the construction of this new World Class Skill Center. It is the vision of the Delhi government to set up 25 World Class Skill Centers across Delhi.
