Mogadishu: A suicide attack in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu late Friday killed 20 people and injured 30 others. Emergency officials have given this information.
According to the local media report, after the attack, a high barrage of smoke appeared in the sky.
Dr. Abdulkadir Aden, founder of Amen Ambulance Services, said that 20 bodies were recovered from the scene and 30 people were injured.
The blast took place near Lule Yemini Restaurant. A resident living near the site of the incident, Ahmed Abdullahi, said that there was a blast in a speeding vehicle near Lyul Yemini. At the same time, a high flame of smoke was seen to rise.
In Somalia, radio was told that there was no damage to any building and the police surrounded the area. However, no group claimed responsibility for the attack.
It is noteworthy that the Al Shabaab terrorist group is active in Somalia and often carries out such attacks.
