Delhi / Noida The Central Investigation Agency Enforcement Directorate team raided several places in UP till late evening on Wednesday in a case related to illegal mining. During this raid, many important documents have been received by the investigators. When those documents were scrutinized on Thursday, the officers also lost their senses. Explain that the raids were carried out at the locations of Gayatri Prasad Prajapati, the former mining minister of Uttar Pradesh. In this raid, the investigating agency has found documents related to more than 44 properties in the names of Gayatri Prajapati and his family. According to the investigating agency officials, these assets have been wrongly built. Since then, the investigating agency has started investigating this matter in detail.

Where did former mining minister find properties and benami properties
While the ED team was conducting the raid on December 30, around 100 property-land registries (100 Registries of different properties) were found from the house of Gayatri Prasad Prajapati and his Chartered Accountant (CA). Many properties in Lucknow, Kanpur, Sitapur, Amethi were wrongly acquired and registered, it is learned from the recovered documents. This means that the property was purchased and registered with the money of corruption during his tenure as the Minister of Mines. Due to this, the ED team is investigating the matter by registering a case under the Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
According to the ED, documents related to 4 villa properties in Mumbai have also been recovered. The estimated cost of which is a villa of about 25 million. However, this property was bought not in the name of Gayatri Prasad Prajapati but in the name of his family members. Further, the ED team is also involved in the investigation.

The evidence and documents that the ED has found during the investigation are as follows: –
MGA Hospitality – 9 property papers were found in Sitapur and Faizabad, valued at around Rs 578 lakh. Anil Prajapati has got 11 properties in Lucknow, Kanpur, Amethi, Mumbai, which is worth about Rs 754 lakhs.
5 properties have been found in Lucknow and Kanpur under the name of MAGS Enterprises, which is worth about Rs. 95 lakhs.
8 properties have been found in Lucknow, Amethi, Mumbai, Rae Bareli, Sultanpur under the name of Anurag Prajapati, the price is around Rs 360 lakhs.
In Lucknow, papers of 2 properties of the company named MGA COLONIZERS have been found, which cost Rs 79 lakh.
44 documents of Benami property have been found in Lucknow, which is worth about Rs. 1715 lakhs.
A property has been found in the name of Shilpa Prajapati, which is estimated to cost Rs 210 lakh. Apart from this, ED has also found many such documents, which confirms the creation of mask companies by Gayatri Prajapati’s son. Through this, black earnings were made white.

This is the whole case
Let us tell you that in the year 2017 itself, Gayatri Prasad Prajapati was arrested by the UP Police on the charges of raping a woman. Gayatri Prasad Prajapati has been in jail since then. In the illegal mining case and on charges of corruption, the Central Investigation Agency CBI had first registered this case. Since then, raids were being done at many places. Based on this case, the ED branch of UP branch took the matter into their own hands and is continuously investigating against this accused.
