West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has given relief to the public by stopping the rising prices. The government has cut prices of petrol and diesel by one rupee each. This rule will be implemented from Sunday night. Before the upcoming assembly elections in the state, the Trinamool government has given relief to the people of the state on this slight basis.
West Bengal Finance Minister Amit Mitra announced this. It is noteworthy that the prices of petrol and diesel are touching the whole country. Earlier, the Meghalaya government has given a discount of seven rupees in the price of petrol and diesel. In many states of the country, oil prices have reached around Rs 100 per liter. In view of this, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has tried to turn public opinion on her side by doing so in the election phase.
Why is petrol expensive in Ram’s country
In view of the constantly increasing prices of petrol and diesel in the country, Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan regretted the past. He said that oil rich countries are not thinking about the interests of oil consuming countries. While the country belongs to the people, the people do not belong to the country. Earlier, Pradhan had expressed helplessness in not being able to bring down the oil prices in Rajya Sabha.
The matter was also raised in Rajya Sabha
The issue of consistently expensive petrol prices was also raised in the Rajya Sabha. On which SP MP Vishambhar Prasad Nishad asked the people present in the Rajya Sabha, “Petrol and diesel are cheaper in Sita Mata’s country Nepal and Ravana’s country Sri Lanka, then why is the government not reducing the price in Ram’s country?” On this, Pradhan had said, ‘Petrol and diesel prices in the country are controlled under an international price system. In the last 300 days, there has been an increase in oil prices by about 60 days. We cannot compare India with any other country. This is because there is a great difference in the price of kerosene in India and these countries.
