Kushinagar: A road of three and Hata in Khadda tehsil area of the district was investigated on the instructions of Mandalayant Jayant Narlikar. A road was not built in them and a road was paved over a raft. It was also paid. Two roads have been found in the investigation.
In the investigation of a two-member team constituted under the chairmanship of the CDO, the work of Abdkari Khas Tola Sampark Marg from Sonbarsa Karuna of Khadda was approved on 20 January 2019, for which a budget of Rs 1.12 crore was approved at the government level. The PWD received Rs 89 lakh for the construction of this 1.5 km road. When the inquiry committee reached the spot, no work was shown on the road and a payment of Rs 75 lakh was made. The special thing is that the construction agency has also claimed to have completed 60 percent of the work. Similarly, a paved road was built on the Khadanja road which was already on the Pokhara Tola connectivity via the Pagra-Ramnagar road to the primary school. Khadanja is not mentioned in the estimate. When the team dug him, he found the bottom hole. This road is 2.20 km long. The construction of two roads here has been found satisfactory. The Mandalayukta has sought a report on 15 points on the prescribed format for examining four roads in the district. It is likely that based on the investigation report, many faces related to these actions will be exposed, then action will be taken against many. Apart from the CDO, the team also includes Industrial Development Authority Chief Engineer AR Verma, Superintending Engineer Irrigation Section II KK Rai. CDO Annapurna Garg said that the construction of two roads has been rigged, which has also been confirmed in the investigation. Its report is being prepared, which will be sent soon.
