Modi government set deadline for electricity services, consumers will get these rights Funny Jokes

new Delhi: The Modi government made a big decision today for electricity consumers. For the first time, the government has set a deadline for different services in the electricity sector. For not working within the deadline, power distribution companies will be fined, which has been fixed at least one lakh rupees.

If you live in cities like Lucknow and Patna and want to get a new electricity connection for your home, now you will not have to go round the electricity department. Now you will get a new electricity connection sitting at home. This has become possible through an order from the Ministry of Power, which has been issued under the Electricity Act 2003. The order has set a deadline for services provided to consumers.

It has been made mandatory to provide new electricity connection in metros in 7 days, in other cities in 15 days, while in rural areas in 30 days. The facility of online application will also be there and the time limit will also start counting with the application.

On this decision of the government, Union Power Minister RK Singh said, “People have to go round. Since there is a monopoly in the field of power distribution. That is, consumers have no option to choose a distribution company, so it is very important. “

Apart from this, services like malfunction of meter, change in power load, load shedding and replacement of bad transformer have also been included in this order. The responsibility of fixing timelines for these services has been entrusted to the State Electricity Regulatory Commission. The commission has been asked to do this work within 60 days.

The power distribution company will have to pay a fine of at least one lakh rupees for not working within the stipulated time. Not only this, as time progresses, additional fine will also have to be paid at the rate of Rs 6000 per day.
