Mumbai : Kangana Ranaut, who is less known for her films and more in discussion for all kinds of controversies, will soon be seen as a warrior on the big screen once again.
Kangana announced that this film will be the franchise sequel of the film ‘Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi’ released in 2018 and will be titled ‘Manikarnika Returns – The Legend of Didda’.
Rani Didda is recognized as a brave queen of undivided Kashmir who, despite being crippled by one leg, defeated the Mughal invader ruler Mahmud Ghaznavi twice in battle. He is still recognized as a strong-minded heroine.
Kangana Ranaut’s next film will be ‘Thalaivi’, in which she will be seen in the role of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. The shooting of this film has been completed recently. Apart from this, she is currently busy shooting for the action films ‘Dhakad’ and ‘Tejas’. Kangana says that she will shoot ‘Manikarnika Returns – The Legend of Didda’ only after finishing shooting for the rest of her films. According to the source, she will start shooting for this film in January 2022.
It is noteworthy that Kamal Jain, who has produced the film ‘Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi’, will also be produced. It is being told that Kangana and Kamal Jain have approved the final script of this film only last week.
According to the sources associated with this film, the sequel of the franchise film will be more grand and big budget film than the first film. But at the moment it is not decided whether Kangana Ranaut will direct this film on her own or whether someone else handles the direction of directing this film.
