Ahmedabad : The final match of the four-match Test series between India and England is being played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. England captain Joe Root won the toss and decided to bat. England’s first innings was reduced to 205 runs. Ben Stokes scored the highest score for England. Stokes was dismissed by scoring 55 runs. At the same time Akshar Patel took the most wickets for the Indian team. Akshar took 4 wickets to his name. India scored an unbeaten 96-run stand of 160 to take a 160-run lead thanks to an unbeaten 96-run stand by Rishabh Pant (101) and Washington Sundar in the first innings. England started the second innings scoring 30 wickets losing 4 wickets.

Mohammad Siraj too was bowled at zero at the hands of Stokes playing just 3 balls. After Patel’s dismissal, Ishant Sharma went out lbw for zero on the very first ball of the next over from Stokes and went towards the pavilion. Akshar Patel scored 43 runs off 97 balls with the help of 5 fours and a six, which was run out by Root and Jani Bairstow.
