Bengaluru: In Karnataka, active cases have again declined during the last 24 hours due to increase in the number of healthy people against new cases of corona virus infection.
After the arrival of 755 new cases in the state on Saturday, the number of infected people has increased to more than 9.21 lakh, but it is a matter of relief that due to increase in the number of healthy people, active cases have reduced to around 10,800.
In case of corona infection, Karnataka is second only to Maharashtra while Andhra Pradesh is third. In case of deaths due to corona virus, Karnataka has now come in third place after Tamil Nadu while Maharashtra is in first place.
The number of infected in the state has gone up to 9,21,128. During this period, the number of disease-free people has increased to 8,98,176 due to the recovery of 976 more patients. With the death of three more people in the same period, the figure of the dead has reached 12,099.
Due to the higher number of healthy people than new cases, a decrease in active cases has been recorded. The number of active cases in the state is 224 and now reduced to 10,834.
It is worth noting that Karnataka ranks sixth in the whole country in active cases of corona virus infection.
