New Delhi : Life in Petrol-Diesel and LPG prices in the country is affecting life a lot. In such a situation, the Congress has surrounded the Modi government at the center on the issue of continuous price rise. The Congress says that the anti-poor and middle-class face of the Modi government has come to the fore with the closure of LPG subsidy. The steady increase in prices is a living proof of the ego of the Modi government. Congress has demanded that the central government give relief to the people by reducing the price of subsidized cooking gas immediately.
Congress chief spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala told reporters on Tuesday that despite the opposition from the general public, the price of subsidized, non-subsidized and domestic gas cylinders with Ujjwala scheme has increased by Rs 125 per cylinder in less than a month. . In addition, the rise in CNG-PNG gas prices after the closure of LPG subsidy has exposed the anti-poor and middle-class face of the Modi government. He said that people are still suffering from Corona’s attack, the economy is also negative .. Despite this, the steady increase in the price of petroleum products is a living example of the arrogance of the Modi government.
Encouraging the Center on the inflation front, the Congress leader said that the increase in CNG after petrol-diesel and LPG by 70 paise per kg would make transport fares expensive, which would further increase inflation. At the same time, a 91 paise increase in the price of PNG gas reaching the houses through pipes will also spoil the budget of the houses. He said that the continuous increase in fuel is clear that the Modi government is not worried about the problems arising from the constantly declining income of people and rising inflation.
At the same time, Surjewala also demanded that the price of petrol-diesel and subsidized LPG cylinders be brought to the level of the previous UPA government. He said that within the last 26 days, this anti-people government has increased the value of 125 rupees through four increases in LPG cylinders. He said that in the years 2012-13 and 2013-14, the international price of LPG was 885.2 and $ 880.5. Despite this, the UPA government used to buy LPG at an expensive price and give huge subsidy to the general public. That’s why at that time people had to pay Rs 399 to 414 on a cylinder, while at present people have to spend Rs 819 for a cylinder.
