Jind: A female computer operator working at Uchana SDM office in Jind district of Haryana committed suicide by consuming poisonous substances on Thursday night, accusing the support staff including SDM of harassing and wrongdoing.
The deceased is identified as Bhateri (35). He left a four-page suicide note and voice recording before he died, calling for action from the District Superintendent of Police. Police registered a case against 12 people, including SDM, on the complaint of family members and started investigation.
According to police, Bathery was working as a computer operator in the SDM office at Uchana.
In the suicide note and voice recording written before death, he has accused cleric Sandeep Thua, MTS Mannu, Sukhdev, Arjun, Atul, Balbir Gill, Balakar, Deepa, Tarsem and others, including indecent acts, for wrongdoing by him. He has said that after being discharged on Thursday, his computer was opened and wrongdoing was done. A complaint was also made to SDM Rajesh Koth at the SDM office about the wrongdoings being done to him but he did not take any cognizance. Even the SDM office indiscriminately does other wrongdoings, including licenses. She is leaving her small children alone because of these evil people. Under no circumstances should these people be spared and they should be given justice.
The woman’s husband Dinesh said that his wife was working as a computer operator in the SDM office at DC rate for the last six years. His wife used to do wrong things. When she refused, in her absence, wrong things were done by opening the computer. Such employees were complained to the SDM but no action was taken. After swallowing the poison on the night, his wife told about the attitude of the support staff and SDM. The woman is left behind by a boy and a girl.
On the other hand, SDM Rajesh Koth has outright rejected the deeds of the deceased. He said the woman never complained about the staff. If an employee is hurt by a woman, it should be investigated objectively. Strict action should be taken against whoever is guilty. He has full sympathy for the family of the deceased woman worker.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Jitendra Khatkar said that a case has been registered on the basis of the complaint of the suicide and family members of the woman. He clarified that those who are guilty will not be spared under any circumstances.
