Raipur : India Legends captain Sachin Tendulkar has reached Raipur to participate in the Road Safety World Series Cricket Tournament. Veterans like Yuvraj Singh, Virender Sehwag, Pragyan Ojha also reached Raipur by night. Earlier, the state Forest, Housing and Transport Minister Mohammad Akbar and local MLAs reached the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Cricket Stadium to take stock of the preparations. India Legends captain Sachin Tendulkar and veteran batsman Yuvraj Singh arrived in Raipur by 7.45 pm on Tuesday evening. The officials associated with the event welcomed him at Raipur Airport. He was later rushed to Hotel Mayfair in Nava Raipur amidst tight security.
Four other veterans of India Legends have arrived in two other flights, one after the other. Pragyan Ojha and Noel David boarded the flight at 8.35 pm. At the same time, Manpreet Gony and Virender Sehwag reached Raipur by flight at 8.45 pm. So far many players from England, Bangladesh, South Africa and India Legends have reached Raipur.
The corona test of all the players was done before going to the hotel rooms. Here, Forest, Housing and Transport Minister Mohammad Akbar, Raipur MLA Satyanarayana Sharma, Kuldeep Juneja, Mayor Ejaz Dhebar reached the Shahid Veer Narayan Singh Cricket Stadium in Nava Raipur and prepared for the tournament.
