Athletics coach Nikolai Snasarev found dead at NIS Patiala hostel Funny Jokes

Patiala: India’s medium and long distance (running) coach Nikolai Snasarev was found dead in his hostel room at the National Institute of Sports (NIS) here. The Athletics Federation of India (AFI) gave this information. The dead body of 72-year-old Snasarev of Belarus has been sent to the government hospital for post-mortem. He returned to India for the post by the end of September after a gap of two years.

AFI President Adile Sumariwala said- He had come to NIS (from Bengaluru) for Indian Grand Prix 3 which took place today. But when he did not reach for the competition then in the evening the coaches asked about him and then his room was found closed from inside. He said – When the door was broken, he was lying on his bed. The Sports Authority of India (Cy) doctor declared him dead in the NIS and the Cy team sent his dead body to a government hospital for postmortem.

Sumariwala said- We do not know the cause of his death. It will be known only after the post-mortem. Snasarev was coaching 3000-meter steeplechase athlete Avinash Sabale (qualified for the Olympics) and other middle and long distance runners to the campaign to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics. He resigned from the Indian athletics long and mid-distance coach post in February 2019 after Sabale decided to leave him and train under the guidance of Army coach Amrish Kumar. His contract was then until the end of the Olympics, which was postponed for a year due to the Kovid-19 epidemic.
