Amritsar: Bibi Jagir Kaur, chairperson of the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, offered Ardas after the (abolition) of Shri Akhand Pathak at Gurdwara Shaheed Baba Gurbakhsh Singh on Friday for the success of the ongoing farmers struggle in opposition to the agricultural laws.
Bibi Jagir Kaur said that Ardas has great importance in Sikhism and it is under this that Ardas has been done in front of Guru Sahib by making Shri Akhand Pathan Sahab for the success of the peasant struggle. He said that the peasant struggle is directly connected with the people of the country and every resident of the country is praying for the success of this struggle. He advised Prime Minister Narendra Modi to leave his stubbornness and said that accepting any wrong decision and taking it back is not a crime.
Bibi Jagir Kaur said that today when the cold wave is at the peak, the donor of the country is sitting on the streets of Delhi fighting for his rights. The government of the country should resolve this issue on the basis of initiative. He said that the Shiromani Samiti is cooperative with the farmers of the country at all levels and is providing anchor, medical services, pakhanas, waterproof tents and beds etc. in Delhi.
