Do you want your skin to be cleaner and smoother? Do you want your hair to be more silky, stronger and shinier? All this without spending thousands of bucks in your next door salon? Yes of course! It is definitely possible !! I bring hundreds of young women looking for desperate solutions to their skin and hair problems and expect me to wave my magic wand and deal with their issues overnight and change them. I would love to oblige but the truth is that nature does not bloom overnight. The smallest seed of a plant also needs to bloom, nourish and care, as it can bloom and show its grandeur.
Although we live in a world of “insta” or quick choices, some things cannot be played with.
With the festive season around the corner – Durga Puja, Karvachauth, Diwali and the endless parties and festivities that go along with it, the skin and hair needs to look healthy and stunning. So wake up and look at these festivals as your celebration.

3. For a smooth back
Planning on wearing a low back blouse, backless dress or choli, but isn’t it time to go for a body scrub? Here is a quick home remedy. Take 1 cup sea salt and mix it in half a cup of olive oil. Add 5 drops of sandalwood oil and mix well. Store in a jar and scrub the areas of your body you want to flaunt. Wipe with wet towels.
4. Dealing with eye bags and dark circles

5. Instant Face Lift
Wash your face with ice water or simply rub on the face with a teaspoon of honey and add ice cube. Beat an egg white until it peaks and brushes on your skin and lets it dry. You will feel the skin stretch. Wash face with icy cold water.
6. Tired eyes?
Things held for long hours at work, then shopping and the festive season can be tiring. I suggest that you make this amazing eye wash so that you will feel instantly refreshed. Take iced spring water in a bowl and add few drops of rose water, 2-3 drops of honey and dip one eye in it. You can also open your eyes slightly and then close. Throw away the liquid and make the same water for the other eye and repeat the process. Then splash the eyes with cold mineral water. There may be a slight redness for some time but it will go away soon and your eyes will feel refreshed within minutes.
7. Suffering from curly hair?
Try this simple, quick and easy spray. Take two lemon slices and boil in two cups of water until it reduces to half the amount. Put liquid in the spirit bottle and spray it on your hair. Not only will there be an amazing natural shine but the steady and flying hair will go away!
8. For natural hair color
If you have brownish hair and do not have time to apply henna or dye it, take a few sprigs of henna from the kitchen shelf and boil them in 2 cups of water with 2 cups of black tea in half the amount. Mix with 1/4 second of shampoo and each time you shampoo, use this mixture. Leave the shampoo in your hair for about 15 minutes and see the difference.
9. Quick Hair Care
Don’t have time to dry your hair even after shampooing and being oily? Well, don’t sweat. Sprinkle talcum and amla powder on your hair brush and uproot the hair above your head and apply from the neck to the tips. Now pluck your hair back and voila you have bouncy oil-free hair in minutes!
So these are some of my secret ‘Insta’ beauty recipes. Use and enjoy them, but never substitute them for regular skin and hair care regimes.
