To commemorate the 75th anniversary of India’s independence, the Government of India has constituted a high-level national committee of 259 members under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Its members include ministers, chief ministers, opposition members, sportspersons, spiritual leaders, including former President Pratibha Patil, former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani, Congress Party interim president Sonia Gandhi, Sadhguru, Ramdev, Sharad Pawar, Mamta Banerjee.
The first meeting of the independence organizing committee will be held on Monday 8 March. On August 15, 2022, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of India’s independence, many big projects are expected to be dedicated to the nation.
Last month, Home Minister Amit Shah held a meeting with officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Union Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to take stock of the preparations for the event to mark the 75th anniversary of Independence.
At the same time, under the program to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the independence of the country, the Amrit Mahotsav of India will start for three weeks from 12 March 2021. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will start the program of Amrit Mahotsav of India. Under this, India’s historical glory, cultural heritage, technology development and digital initiatives will be displayed in all the states and union territories of the country.
Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla held a discussion with the officials of the State Governments and Union Territory Administration on Tuesday and took stock of the preparations for this festival to be held from March 12 to April 5. These programs are being organized 75 weeks before the 75th anniversary of independence of the country in the year 2022.
