New Delhi : Today, a decline in daily cases of infection was witnessed in the second phase of the vaccination campaign started in the country against the corona virus. The total number of infected in the country increased to 1,11,24,527 after 12,286 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported in India in a single day. Of these, 1,07,98,921 people have become infection free. The second phase of vaccination campaign against Corona virus has also started in the country from Monday. The Health Ministry said that so far 1,48,54,136 people have been vaccinated with the Corona virus across the country. Many leaders including PM Modi have also been vaccinated. According to experts, this number will increase further in the coming days.
According to the updated data released by the Union Health Ministry at eight o’clock on Tuesday morning, after the death of 91 more patients from the virus, the death toll rose to 1,57,248. According to the data, with a total of 1,07,98,921 people becoming infection-free, the recovery rate of patients in the country has risen to 97.07 percent. At the same time, the death rate was recorded from Kovid-19 and now it is 1.41 percent. A total of 1,68,358 people are currently undergoing treatment for corona virus infection in the country, which is 1.51 percent of the total cases. In the country, the number of infected people reached 20 lakh on August 7 last year, 30 lakh on 23 August and 40 lakh on 5 September.
At the same time, the total cases of infection had crossed 50 lakh on 16 September, 60 lakh on 28 September, 70 lakh on 11 October, 80 lakh on 29 October and 90 lakh on 20 November and one crore on 19 December. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 21,76,18,057 samples have been tested for Kovid-19 in the country till March 1. Of these, 7,59,283 samples were examined on Monday.
