Bengali actress Shrabanti Chatterjee has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the West Bengal Assembly Elections 2021. On Monday, Shrabanti Chatterjee was given membership in the BJP office in Kolkata in the presence of senior BJP leader Kailash Vijaywargiya. When the 33-year-old actress joined the BJP, West Bengal Chief Dilip Ghosh and BJP co-incharge Amit Malviya were also present there.
This is not the first time in West Bengal politics that political parties have taken political parties into their camp just before the elections. Recently, an event was held in Bengal in the presence of Union Minister Prakash Javadenkar, in which veteran actors of Bengali cinema participated. After this event, there was speculation on Zoro that BJP is trying to woo cinema’s actors for elections through this event.
